Up at the top, almost to the lake.... it was 5 in the late afternoon. We had gone to church in the morning and so we didn't even leave our house until 1:45! But it was worth it. The girls did amazing, it was a 3.8 mile hike and had over 1,000 feet elevation gain. A did almost the entire thing on foot. Ben only carried her a little way to speed up our getting back. He had M on his shoulders nearly the whole way down. The trail was pretty rough with lots of exposed roots and washed out dirt around them. I forgot to get a picture of that part.
She really wanted to toddle around, but there was no flat area...
